Phil Brown – literally

with one comment

HULL CITY have been quiet so far in the summer transfer market.

This can only be attributed to one factor – Phil Brown is on holiday and I am all in favour of that.

The thing I am most looking forward about the start of the Premier League season is seeing exactly what colour Brown will be after his jollies.

I think I can guess the type of holiday the Hull manager goes on.

You know the kind – trashy, Mediterranean resorts, all pounding clubs, full English breakfasts and chock-full beaches.

The kind of holiday that most people do no more than two or three times in their lives, usually as their teenage days are ending and accompanied by “official holiday t-shirts” with their name and number on the reverse (someone will ALWAYS choose number 69).

It is in one of these towns that Brown will be right now.

Before a long evening murdering Sloop John B in the karaoke bars, he will be sunning himself on the beach each day, raising the question – just how dark can he get?

By my money, there is a reasonable chance that Brown will turn into a black man this summer, like Michael Jackson but the other way round.

An actual living, breathing, black man, like Barack Obama, Malcolm X or Kunta Kinte.

Last season Paul Ince became the first black Englishman to manage in the Premier League and next season Phil Brown will become the second.
