Webber is a happy bunny

with one comment

MARK WEBBER won his first Grand Prix on Sunday in Germany.

His reaction after crossing the line touched and amused me in equal parts, so here it is.

It is great to hear raw, unbridled joy from a sportsman in an increasingly sanitised world.

David Coulthard’s description on BBC TV, as his “When Harry Met Sally moment” was spot-on.

Webber is in a similar situation to Jenson Button this season, suddenly finding himself in a race-winning car after years wallowing in uncompetitive vehicles, that were not worthy of his talent.

Webber and Button have always been two of the most charismatic Formula 1 drivers and to have them at the front is a step up from the monosyllabism of Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

If he is going to continue reacting like this then may more race wins come Webber’s way.
