The Sporting Chameleon

an absolute cheesecake of a sports blog

GREETINGS all. This is my blog.

I am a Yorkshireman by trade, hailing from Huddersfield, a town currently the subject of a ferocious tug-of-war, with the Kiribatian and Guinea-Bissauan Olympic squads desperately hoping to make the town their base for the 2012 games. Its close access to the A629 is said to be a major factor.

Rumours that Sir Geoffrey Boycott is my father are unfounded. I have my own dad, who is a lovely man but has alas never opened the batting for England.

My sporting claim to fame is scoring from the half-way line at my year seven football trials, single-handedly keeping me in the school team for the next four years and scoring 68 at cricket in the first round of the Yorkshire Post Cup, with my name appearing in said newspaper.

I was out for nought in round two, never to figure in the Yorkshire Post again.

This blog contains views on any sport going, most commonly football and cricket, but potentially veering towards pelota and toe-wrestling, whenever the mood takes me.

I would not say no to anyone hoping to make this blog into a Hollywood blockbuster.

I have never been to Montevideo.

    • Lucas, thanks for the praise.
Apologies there’s been no posts for a month or so – new job, etc – but the blog is still very much going and I should get something up soon.

  3. you got good stuff here and we share similar interests in sports, soccer and cricket – two sports more often than not, unlikely to be interesting to the same person.
