Le Hand of God gifts FIFA a present

FIFA got its way last night as France and Portgual both progressed through the play-offs and into next year’s World Cup.

Off-track action dominates again in Abu Dhabi

FORMULA 1’s global circus finally reaches its conclusion this weekend in Abu Dhabi.

Jenson Button arrives in the Middle East with the world title already tucked in his pocket and thus it would make sense if that was the sole focus going into the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Stankovic scores a lovely goal

INTER MILAN notched up one of the results of the season with their 5-0 trouncing of Genoa this weekend.

This was more impressive as they did it without their two stars, Samuel Eto’o and Diego Milito, and Genoa had a previously unbeaten home record.

But all that paled into insignificance, as did the goals from Esteban Cambiasso, Mario Balotelli, Patrick Vieira and Maicon, alongside this effort from Serbian Dejan Stankovic. Read the rest of this entry »

Italian fan finds odd way to deal with defeat

ITALY lost 3-0 to Brazil in the Confederations Cup earlier this week, resulting in their elimination from the tournament, despite only having to get out of a group containing the USA and Egypt.
