Greatest shot of all time

BY NO ONE’S standards has this year’s US Open been a classic.

Rain has severely hampered several days play, resulting in the men’s final taking place on Monday for the second year running and Wimbledon’s grand fromages looking smug.

The re-emergence of Kim Clijsters and the semi-final histrionics of Serena Williams have provided the only major notes of interest.

Doubles equivalent to the instructions in a condom box
